Superintendent of Public Works

The City of Perry is seeking an experienced project facilitator to join the city as the Superintendent of the Department of Public Works, a salary position. The candidate needs to be able to plan, organize, direct and supervise the operation of the City’s public works department to maintain the quality and safety of the City’s infrastructure; develop policies and procedures with city administration to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of infrastructure; develop and administer annual department budget; direct and supervise assignments to department staff; have experience with drinking water, sanitary sewer infrastructure systems, regulations and road maintenance. Candidate must have superior verbal and written communication skills, able to plan projects and delegate efficiently and manage paperwork effectively.
