Water-Sewer-Wastewater Director
Summary: Performs administrative, supervisory & technical work in directing the operation of the water & wastewater treatment system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Installs and maintains water lines and mains.
- Installs and maintains sewer lines.
- Operates backhoe to dig trenches to install water and sewer pipe.
- Repairs, tests, and changes water meters.
- Checks and maintains motors, pumps and valves at lift stations.
- Flushes fire hydrants.
- Responds to customer complaints/problems.
- Handles orders for service or disconnects.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have all required licenses.
CERTFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Class A Michigan, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL),
- State of Michigan Certification as please a Water or Wastewater Operator
- Class S-4 Water Distribution System Operator Certificate.
- Class D-4 Water Treatment Plant Operator Certificate.

- Must be able to walk, stand and sit.
