Full Time Water Operator (DPW/Water 1)

 

Bridgeport Charter Township is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Water Operator Position (DPW/Water 1) in our Public Works Department. We are looking for an individual who can provide a variety of semi-skilled tasks in support of the operation and maintenance of Township Properties and Buildings including cemeteries and water distribution systems. We are looking for an applicant that is self-motivated, hardworking and interested in working outdoors.

 

Requirements:

·       High School diploma or GED equivalent

·       Experience in performing manual labor tasks

·       EGLE Water Operator Certification preferred

·       A minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance and repair is preferred to have.

·       Experience of operating various types of construction and maintenance equipment preferred

·       Must possess a valid State of Michigan Driver's License

·       Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather and in adverse working conditions.

·       Will be required to respond to an emergency and callouts and must be able to respond within a reasonable time determined by BWSS.

 

Starting Wage: $18.70
