DPW Working Foreman (Streets, Buildings & Grounds, Parks)

 

Candidates are expected to possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities of DPW operations and maintenance including but not limited to streets, parks, buildings and grounds, and operation of heavy equipment.

Candidates will also be expected to possess the knowledge and skills or be willing to learn basic water and wastewater operations and maintenance. 

Candidates for a leadership position are expected to possess the skills and abilities to assist the DPW Supervisor or designee with daily oversight and leadership of assigned staff and projects as directed. Assists with developing department budgets and long-range capital plans for repair or replacement of city facilities and systems.

·         Graduation from high school education or GED equivalent, and

·         Minimum five (5) years of experience relating to the construction, repair and maintenance of water, sewer, street, or storm drainage systems including the operation of related maintenance equipment, or

·         Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience or 3 years of assisting a supervisor/department head.

Candidates must hold a valid Michigan driver's license and a Michigan class A CDL with air brakes.

Pay range $26.09 to $31.34 (with water and sewer licenses)
